A Common-Mode Voltage Reduction PWM Strategy for Three-Phase Quasi-Z-Source Inverter With Optimized Switching Losses

The application of the Z-source/quasi-Z-source inverter exacerbates hazard common mode voltage in motor drives or photovoltaic systems. existing reduced common-mode pulse width modulation (RCMV-PWM) technique applied to has solved problem suppression a certain extent, but its switching losses have not been optimized. In this paper, Active zero-state PWM (AZSPWM) and remote state (RSPWM) strategies quasi-Z-source inverters are analyzed, new loss optimized reduction strategy is proposed. This algorithm does change original effect, while reducing number times period, thereby losses. By optimizing shoot-through vector insertion method, current stress device reduced. proposed affect operating range boost factor OPWM strategy. simulation results show that when output power 1kw, can improve efficiency by at least 1% compared odd PWM(OPWM) Finally, A low-power test platform built verify optimization effect.
